Le sue composizioni, per esempio Theme For Jon, Rubber Wall e Elegy, rappresentano bene la sua particolarità e personalità, sempre liriche e profonde che possono affascinare anche gli ascoltatori della musica classica. Benchè a volte questa espressione possa essere considerata negativa, soprattutto per il jazz, nel caso di Baldini non è così, perchè il suo il mondo musicale è così intenso e originale. Degno di nota è anche il suono del pianoforte, molto bello.”

“In comparison with Tim Lapthorn, another pianist I reviewed on the facing page, the music of Rossano Baldini is more aesthetic and lyrical, maybe because he’s also qualified in classical music. Listening to his Monk’s Mood, which also Eric Reed plays in his latest CD below, we can notice more distinction and transparency. His compositions, such as Theme For Jon, Rubber Wall and Elegy, express well his own particular personality, always deep and lyrical which can also fascinate classical music listeners. Although this expression sometimes can be considered negative, especially in the jazz area, this is not case of Baldini’s music, because of its pathos and peculiarity. Noteworthy the piano sound, very nice.”
